THE LAWYERS

Jake Stebner
Jake Stebner earned his Bachelor’s degree in English Literature from Walla Walla University before earning his Juris Doctor degree from Texas Wesleyan University School of Law (now Texas A&M University School of Law). In 2009, he began practicing criminal defense with Michael Chastaine’s firm—handling both trials and appeals—in the Sacramento Area before establishing his own law practice in Santa Rosa in 2013. Jake has since built a reputation for sharp legal analysis, creative advocacy, and heartfelt commitment to his clients. Jake also serves as a legal consultant to the North Bay Regional Center and the Redwood Coast Regional Center, providing experienced counsel on Lanterman Act compliance and related matters.

Richard Freeman (Of Counsel)
Richard Freeman earned his Juris Doctor degree from Loyola Law School and began practicing law in 1972 after receiving his Bachelor’s degree from UCLA. After initial employment with the District Attorney of Los Angeles County and the Office of the Public Defender (in both San Francisco and Sonoma Counties), he was certified as a Criminal Law Specialist with the State Bar. After going on to spend three decades in civil litigation, handling complex matters involving serious injury, professional liability, construction, employment, and commercial disputes, Richard brings over 40 years of experience in complex litigation to each case.

Kasra Parsad (Of Counsel)
Kasra Parsad earned his Juris Doctor and Master of Legal Studies from Empire College School of Law, graduating cum laude. Originally from Michigan, he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Grand Valley State University while working to support himself. During law school, Kasra received multiple Witkin Awards for academic excellence in subjects including Criminal Law, Constitutional Law, Evidence, and Moot Court—where he was also named Best Oralist. He gained practical experience as a certified law clerk at the public defender’s office, assisting with complex criminal matters and courtroom advocacy. Since passing the California Bar Exam in 2021, Kasra has continued to provide client-centered representation focused on thorough research, persuasive writing, and solid advocacy.
